About Coffee origin and history
Coffee history started in the Ethiopian mountains.
In the 15th century, the coffee was cultivated in the Arabic peninsula and Turkey.
The Dutch created the first coffee plantation in Java in 1669. In 1706, the Dutch brought to their country a coffee tree, eight years later the mayor of Amsterdam offers a coffee tree to Louis XIV, King of France.
In 1720, the coffee tree was planted in Martinique. From the Caribbean coffee culture spreads to South America.
Brazil becomes the first world producer at the end of the 19th century.
